The G.C.E. Advanced Level (A/L) examination of 2024, a crucial milestone for thousands of students, commenced on November 25th as scheduled. However, the examination period was extended due to adverse weather conditions that affected many parts of the country. 

Heavy rains, strong winds, and widespread flooding disrupted normal life and posed challenges to the smooth conduct of the examinations. As a result, the initial end date of December 20th had to be extended to December 31st. 

Despite these unforeseen circumstances, the Department of Examinations, in collaboration with relevant authorities, worked diligently to minimize disruptions and ensure the fair administration of the examinations. The revised examination schedule provided students with additional time to prepare and perform to the best of their abilities. 

The resilience and dedication of the students who faced these challenges are truly commendable. They persevered through the difficulties and emerged stronger, demonstrating their commitment to their academic pursuits. 

As the A/L examination of 2024 concludes, we extend our heartfelt wishes to all the students who sat for the examination. May their hard work and dedication be rewarded with success.
