About Girl Guides
The Girl Guides at Holy Family Convent, known as the 34th Colombo in the Guide world, play a vital role in fostering leadership and community spirit among young girls. Under the guidance of Guide Captain Ms. Narmada Santiago and Teachers In-Charge Ms. Sheshika Mallawarachchi and Ms. Janani Fernando, the program emphasizes environmental consciousness and personal development. The motto "Make New Friends, but keep the Old. One is Silver, the other is Gold" reflects the values of friendship and teamwork that are central to the Girl Guides' mission. Through various activities and events, the Girl Guides aim to empower girls to become confident and responsible leaders in their communities.
